Winemaker's note
We look to bring out the black fruit and floral notes this varietal gives, and on the palate the power that comes from the soils of the area. It comes from two estates in Altamira with different soils, which is what sets them apart. They are made and kept separately so that, before bottling, we can make the perfect blend, always with a small percentage of Cabernet Franc. It rests in second and third use barrels for 14 to 16 months and then spends a further year in bottle before release.
